Courses

A single entry in the course catalog. Courses connect to the Faculty Members who teach them.

Where to find it

Courses in the left menu of the dashboard.

How to add one

1. Go to Courses → Add New Course.
2. Title: the course name.
3. Use the main content area for the course description.
4. Fill in:
   • Subject, picked from the dropdown.
   • AP Option, tick if the course can be taken as Advanced Placement.
5. Click Publish.

What it connects to

A Course is linked to the faculty who teach it through the Course Teacher/s box, the mirror of the Course/s Taught box on a Faculty Member. You can wire the connection from either side, and it connects existing records only, so create the faculty member and the course first, then link them.

If you need a faculty-to-course connection made and are not sure how, ask Michael.

How it shows up

On a Course page, the connected faculty appear as that course's instructors. On a Faculty Member's profile, the courses they teach appear as well.

Courses use the main editor

Unlike academy pages, a Course does use the big main content area for its description. The Subject and AP Option are the only custom fields.
